The Body Mass Index is an easy way to calculate your height to weight ratio, providing an indicator of a healthy weight range. A BMI of between 20 and 25 is recommended for optimum health, but keep in mind it’s only a guide and doesn’t account for individual body types.

Note:
BMI is a reliable indicator of total body fat, which is related to the risk of disease and death. The BMI is considered one of the best non intrusive indicators to your health however it must be noted that it does have some limitations.
The score is valid for both men and women but it does have some limits.
Some limitations include:
- It may overestimate body fat in athletes and others who have a muscular build.
- It may underestimate body fat in older persons and others who have lost muscle mass.
