Real Lunches
Help your little guys get the most out of their day. Healthy lunches and snacks keep concentration and energy levels up and improve learning ability, so make sure you’re putting the best into their lunchboxes.
- For a perfect lunchbox, include vegetables, fresh fruit, cheese or yoghurt, some protein (a slice of lean meat or a hard-boiled egg), some starch (pita, flat bread or crackers) and plenty of water.
- Choose high-fibre white bread if your kids are fussy about wholemeal or brown bread sandwiches.
- Break up the sandwich routine with chicken drumsticks, lentil burgers, meat balls or pasta salad.
- Involve your kids in grocery shopping and preparing their food: they’ll learn where their food comes from and be more willing to try new flavours.
