Ready to live the Goodlife 24.7?
You asked and we listened! Due to huge demand from our members who said they wanted more flexible opening hours, many of our clubs now offer 24.7 access.
Here is everything you need to know about your local club going 24.7.
How do I access the club after hours? If you are interested in having access to the gym 24 hours a day, you simply need to purchase a 24.7 Active Pass from reception and complete a safety induction. When you visit the club after hours, all you need to do is use your pass to scan in at the front door - it's that easy!
What is the difference between staffed hours and after hours?
Staffed hours: Staffed hours refer to the club's normal opening hours. During these times it will be business as usual and you can access the club by simply scanning your membership card at reception.
After hours: To access the gym during extended or after hours you will need to purchase a 24.7 Active Pass from reception. This will give you access to the front door outside of staffed hours and during public holidays.
Members who only want access during staffed hours do not need to do anything. You will continue to use your current Goodlife membership key tag in the same way. For those members who would like access to the club 24 hours a day 7 days per week including weekends and public holidays, we will be offering member inductions in club, just see reception for details or call your local club.
24.7 Safety Induction
The safety induction only takes 5-10 minutes and covers the necessary information about club access, security, health and safety and training procedures. A 24.7 induction is required to be complete before you can pick up your new 24.7 Active Pass which will give you unlimited access to the club. The pass is only $19 for current members.
Where can I buy a 24.7 Active Pass and how much does it cost?
Members can purchase the pass for $19 in club.
Does my membership type affect access to 24.7 clubs?
My home club is going 24.7: If your home club is going 24.7 you can simply purchase an active pass for only $19 from reception and this will give you access to your home club only.
Home club members at another club: If you are a home club member at a different gym that is not open 24.7, you can simply upgrade to our Active Plus membership, which will give you access to all clubs. You will then need to purchase the additional 24.7 Active Pass if you would like after-hours access.
All clubs members: If you currently have access to any Goodlife club in Australia, then you simply need to purchase the additional 24.7 Active Pass if you would like to visit our 24.7 clubs after hours. The pass can currently only be purchased in club but we are hoping to have it available to buy online in the near future.
Are there any equipment or area restrictions after hours or during extended hours?
During the extended hours members will have full access to the club including gym floor, cardio and group fitness, the only areas that will be closed after hours will be the pool and the outdoor area along with the crèche. Other restrictions may also apply depending on the specific club.
Can I see my personal trainer after hours?
Yes! One of the great things about 24.7 access is if your trainer is willing and available, then you can book in your appointments at any time of the day or night - whether it's 4am or 11pm, or even on public holidays. If you would like to see your personal trainer outside of staffed hours then you will need to purchase the additional 24.7 Active Pass.
Will Group Fitness class timetables be extended?
All class timetables and instructors will remain unchanged. When you purchase a 24.7 Active Pass you can access any classes and group training that are scheduled during after hours, including public holidays.
How is safety being addressed as part of the move to 24.7 access?
Safety is, as always, our first priority. Every member that purchases a 24.7 Active Pass will be required to complete a safety induction so they are fully equipped in the unlikely event of an emergency.
Every 24.7 club will have 24 hour CCTV and security on call 24 hours a day, giving you the peace of mind and confidence to train at any time of the day or night. Duress lanyards will be available and must be worn if a member is the only person training in club for additional security and peace of mind.
In addition to this, every 24.7 club will have an ‘Emergency Information Station’ installed, which includes easy-to-follow instructions in the case of an emergency, a fully-stocked first aid kit and an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Emergency intercoms will also be installed in a number of locations throughout the club.
Will car parking be affected?
Car parking hours will vary club to club.
