Meet Our Brand Ambassador

From the moment we watched her video, we knew she was a perfect fit for the Goodlife brand, having kicked such impressive fitness goals in just 12 short months. A busy working mum of two young kids, 27-year-old Jess is a true believer in what we do - improving the health and fitness of Australians - and she is proof that changing your habits can change your life. 

We sat down with Jess to chat all things fitness, health and of course, food!

Tell us about your body transformation:

I've lost about 40kg over four years. Almost half of that was during my first Goodlife 12 Week Challenge. Now I'm top of the leader board in the Fitter, Faster, Stronger category!

What is your favourite type of training? 

I actually have a new found love of Tabata! It's 20 seconds work and 10 seconds rest on either the treadmill or the cross-trainer.

Best advice you've ever been given from a trainer? 

My trainer has completely changed how I think about myself and what I'm capable of lifting. He always says "I've got you buddy, easy weight" when it's actually really heavy, but somehow it gives me the confidence boost I need!

Top 3 healthy snacks you can't live without?

  • Coyo mixed with nuts and seeds 
  • My homemade breakfast muffins with ham, eggs, spinach & broccoli
  • Sushi

Favourite cheat meal?

Fresh, authentic Mexican!

Top 3 post-workout essentials?

  • Magnesium for muscle recovery
  • Stretching in the sauna
  • A protein shake and a banana

Something you might not know about me...

I never train with headphones in. For me, the gym is a bit of a social outing and I like to have a chat.

Where would we find you on a Friday night?

I'm really boring! My husband plays soccer on Friday nights, so the kids and I usually have a night in watching movies, baking or making sushi from scratch.

What is your favourite fitness inspiration quote?

"If it doesn't challenge you, it doesn't change you. You must change to change!"

Do you train in the AM or PM?

I prefer to train first thing in the morning. I find it gets me in the right mindset for the day and keeps me focused and on track with my nutrition.
