What are the competition rules?

Goodlife Health Clubs reserves the right to interpret the rules and, where necessary, to amend the rules at its sole discretion and without notice to the individual competitors. Rules and regulations of the judging criteria, terms and conditions and exercise rules must be followed. Failure to do so could result in disqualification from judging and cancellation of your challenge entry. Rule interpretations and all judging decisions are final. All information and materials submitted by entrants into the 8 Week Challenge become the sole and exclusive property of Goodlife Health Clubs. All entrants’ details will remain confidential and will not be disclosed without written permission.

What's the judging criteria?

There will be one male and one female winner selected from each club. To determine the winner, the final scoring will be based on 60% accumulation of points, 20% before and after photos and 20% measurements. All club winners in each state (QLD, VIC, SA, WA) will then go in the running to be selected for  the male and female state winners based on the same judging criteria. To be eligible to be a category winner at club, state or national level, you must participate in having both your before and after photos and measurements taken and submit your Points Scorecard to the Personal Training Manager in club.

What if I can't attend the group training sessions?

If you are genuinely unable to participate in the group training sessions due to inflexible work or personal commitments, you are able to participate in one of the Group Fitness classes offered at your club. If this alternate option suits your requirements, you will need to obtain a signature confirming your attendance by the Group Fitness instructor. All challenge competitors must attend all measurement sessions as set out in the Challenger Guide. You can attend any Challenge group training sessions at any Goodlife Health Clubs club included in your membership.

If you are unable to attend the first measurement date at your nominated club it will be rescheduled at the convenience of your club Personal Training Manager to ensure your measurements are recorded for appropriate tracking.

What results can I expect?

As individuals differ, so do their results, even when using the same program. We cannot guarantee an individual's results as a result of participation in the 8 Week Challenge program. Training outcomes may include, but are not limited to fat loss, building lean muscle, and improvements in strength, performance, mobility, endurance and mental clarity.

Am I eligible for a refund?

You will receive a refund if we cancel the program, or the law requires us to refund the fee. If you are unable to participate after paying for the Challenge, you can either transfer to our next Challenge in 2021, or provide us with a medical certificate, we will refund you. A full refund is only available if you let us know in writing and provide a medical certificate before 26 March 2021.

Do I need a PT?

If you purchased an 8 Week Challenge registration that included Personal Training, the Personal Training Manager from your club will contact you to book these sessions. It’s recommended to commence your PT sessions in week 1, and all sessions must be completed within the 8 Week Challenge period. If you purchased standard 8 Week Challenge registration without PT included, we highly recommend engaging the services of one of our Personal Trainers in club. Prices for additional PT sessions may vary.
