Entry – Additional Restriction

Entrants must have been Goodlife members prior to 8 April 2019 OR become a Goodlife member between 8 April 2019 and 30 April 2019. Members who terminate their membership during the seven (7) day cooling off period will not be eligible to be a Prize Winner.

Competition Period

The competition opens at 2pm on 8 April 2019 and closes at 5 pm on 30 April 2019.

How to Enter

To receive one (1) entry into the draw, existing Goodlife members must refer a friend to join Goodlife during the Competition Period.

No – maximum of one (1) entry per member per draw. There are two draws.

Receipt of entries

Members are able to refer a friend in club via the referral sheet. They will also receive an email enabling them to refer their friend and go in the draw.

Prize(s) - description

There are two (2) draws with one (1) prize each.

The prize for each draw consists of return economy air flights for two (2) people departing from any capital city within Australia seven (7) nights’ accommodation at Hotel Komune in a Beachfront suite. Additional inclusions are three (3) meals a day for each person, two (2) x 50 minute massages each person + unlimited personal use of the Hotel’s yoga, meditation and fitness facilities and transfers to and from the airport. Please note that this prize package does not include alcoholic beverages, additional spa treatments, retail, tours etc. These costs are to be borne by the winners and their friend respectively.

Determining the Winner/s

The Prize Winners will be determined by draw at the offices of Goodlife Health Clubs Office Suite 1, Level B1, 1151 Creek Road, Carindale, QLD Australia, on 3 June, 2019 at 10am.

Notifying the Winner/s

The Prize Winners will be notified within two (2) business days of the closing date of the competition. The Prize Winners will be contacted individually via phone or email. Should the Prize Winner not reply confirmation within a week of notification, the Prize Winner will be alternatively be contacted via phone.

Publishing Results

Within seven (7) days of the Prize Winners being determined, the name and suburb (or town) of the Prize Winner will be posted on the Goodlife website.

  1. Information about prizes and how to enter form part of these Terms and Conditions. Entry into the promotion is deemed full acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. For the avoidance of doubt, the Terms and Conditions include the Schedule above. Any entry not complying with these Terms and Conditions is invalid. To the extent of inconsistency between the Schedule and these Terms and Conditions, the Schedule prevails.
  2. The promotion commences at 2pm AEST on 8 April 2019. Entries will be received only until 11:59 pm AEST on 30 April 2019.
  3. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tamper with the entry process. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
  4. Entry is open to all Queensland, Victorian and Western Australian residents who fulfil the entry requirements and comply with the entry restrictions only. Entrants must be aged at least 18 years and older to enter. Entrants must have an existing membership with the Promoter at the commencement of the promotion or become a member during the Competition Period to be eligible. Entrants must have a valid email address.
  5. Employees, directors, management, licensees and contractors of the Promoter, its related companies and agencies associated with this promotion, the immediate families of the above listed persons and suppliers to the Promoter are ineligible to enter.
  6. To enter the competition, entrants must be a Goodlife member or become a Goodlife member during the Competition Period and refer a friend to Goodlife during the Competition Period. Friends must not be an existing Goodlife member at the time of referral. If you refer more than one (1) friend, you will still only receive one (1) entry per draw. You must have no outstanding fees at the time the competition is drawn.
  7. Before referring a friend to join Goodlife, members must seek the consent of their friend to provide their contact details to the Promoter for marketing and promotional purposes. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for same.
  8. If the promotion is being run in conjunction with another organisation, additional terms and conditions may be set by that organisation. Full details of these terms and conditions are available from that organisation.
  9. If the promotion is entered into or promoted on Instagram, the promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Instagram and each entrant agrees to grant Instagram a complete release from any claims that they now have or may have in the future which relate to or are incidental to the promotion. Entrants acknowledge and agree that:
    1. Any information they provide in connection with the promotion is provided to the Promoter and not to Instagram or any other social network; and
    2. Any questions, comments or complaints regarding the promotion will be directed to the Promoter, not to Instagram or any other social network
  10. If the promotion is entered into or promoted on Facebook, the promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Facebook and each entrant agrees to grant Facebook a complete release from any claims that they now have or may have in the future which relate to or are incidental to the promotion. Entrants acknowledge and agree that:
    1. Any information they provide in connection with the promotion is provided to the Promoter and not to Facebook or any other social network; and
    2. Any questions, comments or complaints regarding the promotion will be directed to the Promoter, not to Facebook or any other social network.
  11. The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers and prize suppliers. Entry is conditional upon providing this information. The Promoter may, for an indefinite period, unless otherwise advised, use the information for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending electronic messages or telephoning Eligible Entrants. Eligible Entrants should direct any request to access, update or correct information to the Promoter. All entries become the property of the Promoter. Eligible entrants consent to the use and disclosure of their personal information by the Promoter in accordance with its Privacy Policy and for the purposes of this competition.
  12. Upon entering the competition, the entrant grants the Promoter a license to use the intellectual property associated with their image or creative work and gives the Promoter the rights to use their image or creative work for advertising, publishment or promotional services. To the extent necessary, the entrant waives all moral rights including the right of attribution.
  13. The Prize Winners agree to participate and cooperate as required in any publicity activities related to the Competition including but not limited to being interviewed, photographed, recorded and filmed.
  14. The Promoter, its contractors, employees and agents, shall not be liable for any claims, losses, damages, injuries, costs and expenses suffered, sustained or incurred (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) as a result of, arising out of or in any way connected with the promotion and/or its prize, except for liability that cannot be excluded by law. Tax implications may arise from the receipt or use of a prize. Independent financial advice should be sought.
  15. The Entrant acknowledges and agrees that their entry will not be obscene, defamatory, libellous, threatening, harassing, hateful, racially or ethnically offensive, or encouraging of conduct that would be considered a criminal offence, gives rise to civil liability or violates any law.
  16. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of the promotion. The Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone, network or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to entrant’s or referrals or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation in or up/downloading any material in this promotion.
  17. The Promoter reserves the right to vary the terms of, or cancel the Competition at any time without liability to any entrant or other person subject to any applicable laws.
  18. Where the Prize is to be supplied by an entity outside the Promoter’s control and that entity fails, for whatever reason, to supply the prize, the Promoter has no responsibility for the provision of the Prize and is not obliged to provide an alternative Prize or to take legal action to require the Prize supplier to provide the Prize.
  19. The total prize pool is estimated at $12,600 and subject to vary based on the cost of flights during the specified period. The total value of the Hotel Package is $3,700 and $2,600 for the flights package. There are two packages to be won nationally.
  20. The Prize Winners will each receive return economy air flights for two (2) people (the Winner and a friend of their choice) departing from any capital city within Australia. The winner can choose which of these options they depart from, however travel to that airport will be at the cost of the winner. The two (2) people will receive seven (7) nights’ accommodation at Hotel Komune in a Beachfront suite. Additional inclusions are three (3) meals a day for each person, two (2) x 50 minute massages each person + unlimited personal use of the Hotel’s yoga, meditation and fitness facilities and transfers to and from the airport. Please note that this prize package does not include alcoholic beverages, additional spa treatments, retail, tours etc. These costs are to be borne by the winner.
  21. Travel dates must fall within six (6) months of the competition ending. They are based on tour availability and cannot be changed. Specific dates will be supplied to the winner once the Promoter has a copy of the winner and their travelling companion’s passport details. Prize is not valid during high season periods including school holidays, Christmas and New Year.
  22. A copy of the passport, for both the winner and companion, is to be presented to the Goodlife marketing team, by emailing them to [email protected], within seven (7) days of winner being announced, to allow Goodlife to book the flights as soon as possible. Passports must have minimum 6 months validation available from the date of entry.
  23. The Prize is not redeemable for cash or transferable. No other family members, friends, office associates or any other person will be able to participate on the Winner’s behalf.
  24. If for any reason, a Prize Winner cannot receive or accept the Prize, the Prize will be forfeited and another winner will be selected in the same method.
  25. The Prize Winners take the Prize entirely at his/her own risk and indemnifies the Promoter in respect of any claim for any accident, injury, property damage or loss of life that may occur in connection with the prize. The Winner is responsible for all insurance, tax or other costs that may be associated with the Prize. Where the Prize has associated terms and conditions the Winner accepts the Prize subject to those terms and conditions and restrictions.
  26. To the fullest extent permitted by law the Promoter will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or for personal injury as a result of Promotion entry or winning the prize.
  27. All travel is subject to the terms, conditions and restrictions of the Travel Prize service providers. Any travelling companion included in the Travel Prize accepts the Travel Prize subject to these terms, conditions and restrictions as if references to the Winner in the relevant clauses were to the travelling companion.
  28. The Promoter makes no representation as to safety, conditions and other issues that may exist at any destination. International travel advice can be obtained from various sources, including government and local consular offices. The winner accepts the Travel Prize at their own risk.
  29. The Travel Prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash. The Travel Prize must be taken as stated in the rules and no compensation will be payable if the Winner is unable to use the Travel Prize as stated. For the avoidance of doubt, if the Winner is, for whatever reason, unable to travel on a nominated date during this period, whether the failure was due to reasons beyond the Winner's control or otherwise, then the Winner will forfeit the Travel Prize.
  30. The Prize Winners MUST have valid documentation, including but not limited to valid passports and Visas, which meet the requirements of immigration and other government authorities at every destination. Any fines, penalties, payments or expenditures incurred as a result of such documents not meeting the requirements of those authorities (including any costs associated with delay, will be the sole responsibility of the Winner).
  31. The itinerary is to be arranged at the Promoter’s sole discretion.
  32. Any changes to travel dates or additional accommodation outside the travel period specified in the Travel Prize details, made by the winner, which incur additional costs, are to be paid by the Travel Prize winner.
  33. Unless explicitly stated in the Specific Rules, the Winner will be responsible for expenses including, but not limited to, spending money, meals, drinks, transport, laundry charges, activities, incidentals, taxes (excluding departure and any other flight associated taxes included within the Travel Prize), gratuities, service charges, passports, visas, vaccinations, travel insurance and all other ancillary costs associated with redeeming the Travel Prize. The Winner should obtain travel insurance to protect themselves against additional costs incurred in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
  34. The Prize Winners will be notified within two (2) business days of the closing date of the competition. The Prize Winners will be contacted individually via email. Within seven (7) days of the Prize Winner being determined, the name and suburb (or town) of the Prize Winner will be posted on the Promoter’s website. Should a Prize Winner not reply confirmation within a week of notification, the Prize Winner will alternatively be contacted via phone.
  35. If after three (3) months since choosing a winner, the Promoter has been unable to contact the winner despite making all reasonable attempts, an alternate winner will be chosen in the same manner on the 3rd September 2019 and published on the website by the 6th September 2019. The reasonableness of the attempts to contact the winner will be at the discretion of the Promoter.
  36. The winners will be published on the Goodlife Health Clubs’ website under terms and conditions by the 6th June 2019. The winners will be drawn on the 3 June 2019.
  37. It is the responsibility of each entrant to notify the Promoter of any change to their contract details.
